About JFX

Jakarta Futures Exchange (JFX) is the first and largest commodities and derivatives exchange in Indonesia, established on August 19, 1999 under Law No. 32 of 1997 on Commodity Futures Trading. JFX provides a transparent, efficient, and secure trading platform, serving as a risk management and hedging solution for businesses and industries.

JFX’s traded products include a wide range of financial instruments, such as commodities like tin and gold, forex, indices, and foreign single stocks, offering flexibility and opportunities for various market participants.

Following regulatory developments, trading activities are now supervised by three regulators: OJK and Bank Indonesia (BI) for financial derivatives, and the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (Bappebti) for commodity futures trading. This is in accordance with Law No. 4 of 2023 on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector and OJK Regulation No. 1 of 2025 on Financial Derivatives with Securities as Underlying Assets, highlighting JFX’s commitment to regulatory compliance, market integrity, and investor protection.

Vision

In order to achieve a commodity futures trading system, JFX works based on the vision of becoming an exchange that is able to provide a reliable price discovery mechanism, produce commodity reference prices that are recognized worldwide, have innovative products that are in demand as alternative investment facilities and transparent, in place, reasonable, efficient and effective Risk Management.

Mission

To achive this vision, the Company has set a mission to build a futures trading facility with the following characteristics:

  • Able to facilitate a price discovery mechanism that produces reliable price references, especially for commodities/services that have an important role for national economy;
  • Able to facilitate an efficient hedging needs;
  • Able to provide maximum (optimal) protection for Commodity Futures Trading customers;
  • Able to serve market needs while maintaining  market integrity;
  • Able to educate the investor community in managing risk responsibly;
  • Able to develop business opportunity for members from products / instrument diversification
